Prabowo Plans to Build 514 Modern Hospitals, Add Medical Scholarships

Jakarta – The Presidential Candidate Number 2, Prabowo Subianto plans to build modern hospitals in each regency/city with total 416 Regencies and 98 Cities in Indonesia if elected.
"In the health field, we will build modern hospitals in every regency and city, and modern community health centers in every village," Subianto said in the fifth presidential debate JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday.
Furthermore, Subianto promised to increase the number of medical faculties to 300.
"We will address the shortage of doctors in Indonesia. The current shortage of around 140 thousand doctors will be addressed by increasing the number of medical faculties in Indonesia from the current 92 to 300 medical faculties," he continued.
Prabowo also emphasized the need to provide Indonesian children with opportunities to study abroad, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
"We will send 10,000 bright Indonesian students to study abroad. From high school graduates, we will provide scholarships for studying medicine, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, chemistry, and physics. We aim to acquire technology and scientific knowledge," Subianto promised.
Not only that, Prabowo also pledged to improve the salaries of teachers, especially honorary teachers, civil servants including the military and police, and agricultural extension workers
"We believe that education is strategic. We must improve the life quality of teachers, including honorary ones, and enhance their competence. We need to provide training and development for all state administrators, civil servants, military, and police, improving their living standards so they can provide the best services to the people,"
He explained that he and Gibran have a national transformation strategy to enhance Indonesia's prosperity and improve the quality of life.
"Providing nutritious meals for all Indonesian children, including their mothers. This will address maternal mortality and stunting, ultimately eliminating extreme poverty," Subianto remarked.
Then, to boost economic growth and address fundamental issues to combat extreme poverty, he concluded.
