Former TNI Commander Yudo Margono Receives Award from Singapore

 Singapore – Former Indonesian National Army (TNI) Commander, Yudo Margono on Tuesday received the highest military award from the government of Singapore "Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang".Â
The award was given directly by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at the Singapore Palace.
The Utama Bakti Cemerlang degree was awarded to TNI Admiral (Ret.) Yudo Margono for his significant contribution in strengthening defense relations between the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Singapore Armed Forces.
Earlier in 2022, TNI Admiral (Ret.) Yudo Margono was also awarded the prestigious military award Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera), or Meritorious Service Medal (Military), by former Singapore President Halimah Yacob.
During the time TNI Admiral (Ret.) Yudo Margono served as TNI Commander, defense relations between the two armed forces continued to improve.Â
The two militaries participated in several bilateral exercises, including Exercise Safkar Indopura and Eagle Indopura 2023, which aimed to train interoperability and cooperation between the Singapore Armed Forces and the TNI.
In addition, to improve maritime security in the region, TNI Admiral (Ret.) Yudo Margono supports the implementation of coordinated patrols by the navies of the two countries.Â
At the same time continuing to be committed to increasing cooperation in the multilateral framework, which contributes to regional peace and stability.
