Jokowi Inaugurates Seven Regional Roads in Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated seven roads in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) which are the implementation of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023.
The inauguration was centered in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday.
"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, I declare inaugurated seven sections of Regional Road Presidential Instruction roads in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province," the President said in a statementThrough the Presidential Instruction, the Government is committed to not only building toll road infrastructure, but also committed to accelerae the improvement of regional road connectivity.
"Through this Presidential Instruction, we will handle damaged non-national roads," the President remarked.
President Jokowi also explained that in DIY, the Government has handled seven roads and one bridge. The road sections used a budget of IDR162 billion.
"There is one road in Kulonprogo Regency, two roads in Gunungkidul Regency, two roads in Bantul Regency, and two roads in Sleman Regency," the President stated.
The Head of State also hopes that all of these roads can be immediately utilized by the surrounding community. One is to increase mobility, both people and goods.

There are seven roads and one bridge that were inaugurated, namely: Wonosari-Mulo Road in Gunungkidul Regency; Semanu-Karangmojo Road in Gunungkidul Regency;
Prambanan-Gayamharjo road in Sleman Regency; Gejayan-Manukan Road in Sleman Regency; Patuk-Terong Road in Bantul Regency; Imogiri-Dodogan Road in Bantul Regency; Pandansimo Bridge in Bantul Regency; and Brosot-Toyan Road in Kulon Progo Regency.
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, and Regent of Gunungkidul Sunaryanta also attended the inauguration.
