They also expel water to propel themselves forward, utilizing this ability to navigate towards their prey.

2. Starfish

Starfish are brainless animals that spend their time on the ocean floor. With over two thousand species of starfish exhibiting various sizes, colors, and shapes, they possess small eyes at the tip of each arm, which they use to distinguish between light and darkness.

Starfish don't rely on a central brain but rather utilize basic sensors to stay vigilant against threats and locate food.

3. Coral

Coral, or sea coral, is a marine organism that lacks a brain and falls into the category of plants.

Coral polyps feed on leftover zooplankton in the ocean. They capture plankton with their retractable tentacles and then search for nourishment.

4. Clams

Clams have a compressed body enclosed within a pair of tight-fitting shells and are also brainless animals. Clams, belonging to the category of shellfish, can open and close their shells.

Their nervous system enables them to function effectively. Clams are popular in the fishing industry as they are easily harvested and are found worldwide.

5. Sea Cucumber

Sea cucumbers, resembling earthworms, are brainless animals as well. They have a rough texture on their skin and can release a toxic substance called holothurin, which can permanently blind human eyes. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid them while swimming in the ocean.
