Bandung – Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has collaborated with the West Java Transportation Agency and Kota Baru Parahyangan to provide bus and shuttle services for Whoosh passengers in Padalarang station.
Eva Chairunisa, General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC, stated that the collaboration with transportation service providers is a step to facilitate the connectivity of the community to and from the high-speed train station.
"The presence of this intermodal integration addresses the community's need for ease of access to the station area," Chairunisa said in a statement on Tuesday.
At the Padalarang Fast Train Station, there is currently the Trans Metro Pasundan 2D service that serves routes from Kota Baru Parahyangan, Whoosh Padalarang Station, Cimahi, to Alun-Alun Bandung.
A total of 20 Trans Metro Pasundan buses will operate daily from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, there is a free Shuttle service for Whoosh passengers to the Kota Baru Parahyangan area. There are 30 free Shuttle trips daily, with 15 trips from Whoosh Padalarang Station and 15 trips from the Kota Baru Parahyangan area.
Chairunisa explained that the Trans Metro Pasundan bus and free Kota Baru Parahyangan Shuttle services can be accessed from the Padalarang Station drop-off area.
This is expected to facilitate passengers who have just arrived or will be using Whoosh from the Padalarang Station.
She ensured that the presence of the Trans Metro Pasundan bus and free shuttle services at Whoosh Padalarang Station will complement the existing intermodal services at the station.
These include Feeder Trains to Cimahi and Bandung, Commuter Line Trains to Cicalengka, Garut, and Blue Bird Taxis.
"The addition of this intermodal integration is an improvement in service that KCIC offers to Whoosh passengers," she said.
"With the availability of intermodal services covering various areas, it further enhances the community's interest in switching to mass transportation, especially the Whoosh service," she added.
