Salatiga – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the first lady, Iriana Jokowi, visited the Salatiga City, Central Java Province, on Monday to ensure the distribution of the government's rice reserve aid (CBP) has been well-received.
"The assistance will be provided until March 2024. However, the government will strive to extend it until June, in line with the state budget conditions (APBN)," the Head of State said on Monday.
Moreover, Ririn, a daily cake seller, expressed deep gratitude for the aid. Although receiving it for the first time, Ririn mentioned that the assistance significantly eases her daily needs.
"Alhamdulillah, I am grateful and very happy to receive assistance from Mr. Jokowi, especially considering the high rice prices now. It is a special help for my children," Ririn remarked.
Additionally, Juaeni, a farmer, also conveyed thanks for the aid, hoping that it can continue in the future.
"Hopefully, it continues to help those in need because life in this village is very difficult. Thank you for the government's assistance," Juaeni expressed.
