Coming Soon to Indonesia: Chery Reveals Sneak Peek of Omoda E5 Specs

Tangerang – More and more electric vehicles are entering the Indonesian market, such as the Chery Omoda E5. This electric car is reported to be launched in early February 2024.
Rifkie Setiawan, the Head of Marketing at Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI), revealed that the Omoda E5 would be launched in the first week of February before the IIMS 2024 exhibition begins.
"Launching the Omoda E5 will take place in the first week of February before the IIMS 2024 exhibition," said Setiawan when met in Tangerang some time ago.
Setiawan added that regarding the launch, they would also announce complete specifications, warranty programs, aftersales, and the official price.
"Later, we will launch everything, starting from full specifications, warranty programs, aftersales, and also the official price of the Omoda E5," he explained.

Before the official launch, Chery leaked specifications and brief details about this compact SUV.
There is no significant difference between the Omoda E5 for consumers in Indonesia, Malaysia, and China in terms of exterior and features.
The Omoda E5 has dimensions of 4,424 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,588 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.
This electric car uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 61 kWh placed under the car, known to provide a more spacious cabin.
The battery can cover a distance of up to 430 km based on WLTP testing, while its motor is claimed to produce a power of 201 hp and torque of 340 Nm transmitted to all four 18-inch wheels.
The Omoda E5 supports AC charging up to 9.9 kW and fast charging (DC) up to 80 kW. Chery claims that the battery charging process from 30-80 percent can be done in 28 minutes.
Chery engineers offer three driving mode options: eco, normal, and sport. The Omoda E5's acceleration from 0 to 100 km per hour takes 7.6 seconds in sport mode.
Speaking of features, the Omoda E5 is equipped with many advanced features such as a dual 24.6-inch touch screen with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a high-quality Sony audio system, Apple Carplay+Android Auto Intelligent voice interactive operation, and a 540°HD panoramic image.
Furthermore, there are six electric adjustment options for the driver and front passenger seats.
Not only that, this car also has a strong high-strength anticorrosive body, anti-theft alarm, 6 ring-type airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Omoda E5 is also equipped with features such as Electronic Stability Control and automatic door locking system, anti-theft alarm, 18-inch low resistance wheels, rearview mirror, and an electronically operated rear trunk door.
More interestingly, this locally made electric car is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, including lane departure warning, blind spot detection, emergency lane keeping, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, front collision warning and autonomous emergency braking, auto high beam, hill start assist, hill descent control, and tire pressure monitoring.
