India – The Mundari tribe is an indigenous community in the Chotanagpur Plateu region of India, primarly in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal.
They are known for their distinct culture, traditions, and lifestyle. Some people of the Mundari tribe are tall and large in stature and have black to blonde hair.
For their own beliefs, the Mundari adhere to animism which is often displayed in their attention to spiritual symbols and meanings.
The Mundari spread their culture through traditional dance. In addition to having unusual posture, the Mundari tribe also has a culture or habit that can make you shake your head. One of them is the habit of shampooing using cow urine.
It turns out that the Mundari Tribe considers cow urine to be very useful as a dye that changes the color of their hair.
Something that is greatly admired by women and makes them fall in love with men who have that hair.
As is known, it turns out that cow urine has acidic properties that can make black hair color fade.
In addition, the acidic nature of urine is also claimed to be a natural antiseptic which can prevent them from diseases so they use it to wash themselves and their hair.
They will usually bend under the cow's ass when the cow is urinating.
Once all the hair is wet, they then apply the red soil to the head and let it dry. This is why some Mundari tribes have blonde hair, even though their skin is very dark.
Not only that, due to the distant water sources that can be found there, the Mundari tribe sometimes uses cow urine for bathing instead of clean water in general.
As information, South Sudan is estimated to have around 12 million cows, which is believed to be one of the largest numbers of cows in Africa.
