As many as 64 million of those 65 million MSMEs are micro-enterprises. Further, 60 percent of those micro-enterprises are managed by women.

The minister said that the Bali Great Sale 2023, which is being held from December 15, 2023, to January 14, 2024, is an example of successful collaboration between the business sector and the government, as reported from Antara site.

The event is in line with government programs that accord serious attention to MSME players, including the Priority Program for Women's Empowerment in the Field of Entrepreneurship with a Gender Perspective, she added.

"Moreover, involving 11 malls that are members of the Indonesian Shopping Center Association (APPBI) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of Bali is a very strategic step, which will have a significant positive impact on Bali residents," Minister Puspayoga explained.

The Minister also expressed appreciation for the event's initiative to raise the value of MSMEs by providing a bazaar area and discounts from large-scale tenants at each mall.

"MSMEs have a key role in our economic structure, and involving them in events like this is a concrete effort to improve their competitiveness and support inclusive economic growth," Minister Puspayoga concluded.
