Indonesian Export and Investment Successfully Increased in Last 9 Years

Bandung – Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi conveyed that Indonesia's economic diplomacy over the past nine years has successfully increased exports and domestic investments.
"One of the achievements of Indonesia's economic diplomacy over the past nearly a decade is the strengthening of market penetration for Indonesia's strategic industrial products abroad," Minister Marsudi said during delivering the 2024 Annual Press Statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Bandung, West Java, on Monday.Â
The Minister further conveyed several examples of industrial products that had been exported.Â
"Such as railway products from INKA to Bangladesh, New Zealand, Philippines, and Thailand," she remarked.Â
In addition, there's also export of aircraft produced by Aerospace Indonesia to the Phillippines, Mexico, Senegal, and Thailand.Â
"Then, in the health sector, there's Bio Farma which distributes vaccines to more than 150 countries as well as international institutions such as UNICEF to fulfill global vaccine needs," Minister Marsudi explained.Â
Indonesia has also opened joint officed or Indonesia Incorporated for BNI, BRI, Bank Mandiri, Telkom, and Garuda Indonesia in Hong Kong, which was officially established last June.Â
"In the future, Indonesia Incorporated will present in London, Dubai, and New York," she said.Â
The Minister also explained that Indonesia's trade volume from January to November 2023 was recorded at more than US$439 billion, an increase of almost 24 percent compared to 2014, and experienced a surplus of more than US$ 33 billion.Â
"The value of investment entering Indonesia from January to September 2023 reached more than US$ 37 billion or an increase of more than 32 percent compared to 2014," she concluded.Â
