Anies Promises Cultural Diplomacy If Elected as President

Jakarta – Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan promised to build Indonesian cultural houses throughout the world to promote nation's diverse culture if he is elected as President in 2024 Election.Â
"We will build Indonesian cultural houses in every region throughout the world. We offers them as the value of Indonesian Cultural works," Anies said in response to a question related to measures for promoting Indonesia's popular culture at the third presidential debate, Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Sunday.Â
Anies also emphasized that to make this happen, initial capital is needed which must be facilitated by the state, viewing the costs incurred as an investment in the future.
In addition, Anies added that in implementing the cultural diplomacy strategy, his party would collaborate with all elements ranging from state institutions to youth.
"We are planning to involve everyone, including diaspora, students, and migrants, in this diplomacy," Anies highlighted.Â
After the presidential debate on December 12 and the vice presidential debate on December 22, the General Election Commission (KPU) held the third debate.
Defense, security, and foreign policy topped the themes of the third debate.
The KPU has determined the three pairs of the presidential and vice presidential candidates, namely the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
