Anindya Bakrie Becomes Indonesian CDM for 2024 Paris Olympics

Jakarta – The general chairman of the Indonesian Aquatic, Anindya Novyan Bakrie officially becomes Chef de Mission (CdM) for the Indonesian contingent at the Olympics in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11.
He was appointed by the General Chair of the Indonesian National Olympics (NOC) Raja Sapta Oktohari on Friday.
"We give the mandate to the Chairperson of Indonesian Aquatics, Anindya Bakrie to become Indonesia's CdM," Oktohari said in Jakarta.
Anindya Bakrie is honored to hold the responsibility as Indonesia's CdM because this is the first special Olympics to be held after the Covid-19 pandemic.
"This is the first Olympics after the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, we want to make something new. Therefore, we want to make new history. Earlier, Indonesia had made history by winning more than two golds, hopefully, this time it can be more than that," Bakrie explained.
Bakrie also mentioned: "Earlier it was mentioned that many sports are struggling, but there are also many potential new sports such as rock climbing and surfing."
As information, the Indonesian team has secured five tickets to appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are archers Arif Dwi Pangestu and Diananda Choirunisa, artistic gymnast Rifda Irfanalutfi, and sport climbing athletes Desak Made Rita and Rahmad Adi Mulyono.
