No Odd-even Traffic Policy on January 1, 2024

Jakarta – The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency announced that no odd-even on January 1, 2024. This decision was made because it coincided with the New Year and National holidays.
"Linked to the New Year 2024 which falls on January 1, 2024, there's no odd-even policy in DKI Jakarta," wrote the official Instagram @dishubdkiJakarta on Wednesday.
Moreover, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency stated that the regulations refer to the Joint Decree of the Religion Ministry, Manpower Ministry, and Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform regarding the elimination of odd-even numbers.
"Governor Regulation 88 of 2019 article 3 paragraph (3) concerning Traffic Restrictions using the Odd-Even System does not apply on Saturday, Sunday and national holidays determined by Presidential Decree," the agency added.
Furthermore, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency also appealed to all people to obey traffic signs and prioritize safety when driving on the road.
"We urge road users to obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," he wrote again.
Apart from eliminating odd-even, Jakarta will also hold a Car Free Night (CFN) during the 2024 New Year's Eve celebration. CFN will start at 6 p.m. local time on Sunday.
The CFN location is implemented on Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin. Four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from passing during CFN, with the exception of Jakarta Transportation (Transjakarta) buses.
