Jakarta – The hospitality culture at airports plays significant role to increase tourism, Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Minister stated.
"Tourists get the first impression at the airport, and we have to make sure that at airports, we apply Indonesian hospitality," Minister Uno said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
"So, these tourists are not bored with Indonesia, they come and more and more quality and sustainable tourism so that business opportunities open up, the economy increases, and jobs are available for the community," Minister Uno said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
In addition, this positive impression can trigger tourists to further explore the cultural aspects and natural beauty of the destination.
Thus, hospitality at the airport is not only a service, but also an investment in a country's tourism attractiveness.
"Because most of the tourists are not only looking for natural beauty but they feel how in Indonesia this service is very prioritized, hospitality," the Minister remarked.
Therefore, Minister Uno requested that good service and a pleasant atmosphere with a culture of hospitality be created properly, especially at airports which are the entrance to foreign tourists.
"The most important are the three main doors for tourists to enter Indonesia, namely Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport, Soekarno Hatta, and also many who enter through Batam and Riau Islands. So, that is our main point to improve hospitality, service quality," Minister Uno concluded.
