Jakarta – Recently, a food that has gone viral on social media is Cromboloni. This French pastry combines croissants and bomboloni. Cromboloni has a savory texture in it so many people like it.

This round cake is usually filled with various fillings ranging from chocolate cream, vanilla, strawberries, and nuts, to green tea. Likewise with the sweet cream topping on top.

Each sweet food certainly has its calorie content. According to the Instagram of @flimtyfiber, one Cromboloni contains at least 500 kcal.

This figure can be even higher, depending on the amount of sweet cream filling. In fact, in a day, the daily calorie requirement for men is at least 2,500 kcal, and for women is 2,000 kcal.

The number of calories is also influenced by what ingredients are used and the amount. "The bigger the size or the more filling, the higher the calories," said Ayu Anisadyah, a nutritionist, on Friday.

This fairly high number of calories comes from the ingredients used to make cromboloni.

In general, cromboloni is made from a mixture of wheat flour, granulated sugar, eggs, full cream milk, and butter. Among all that, there is full cream milk and butter which contain high levels of saturated fat.

Then, just 100 grams of wheat flour contains up to 333 kcal.

"This is what makes cromboloni high in calories, not to mention the filling which is usually made from chocolate and added sugar," Anisadyah stated.

The high-calorie content in one cromboloni does not mean that cromboloni is prohibited. However, it must be balanced with a correct diet and a healthy lifestyle that helps burn calories in the body.

It is recommended to consume other healthy foods as snacks in between main meals.
