Jakarta – WhatsApp has introduced the View Once Feature for photos and videos in 2021 to add a layer of privacy to users' messages.
Now, the Voice Messaging Feature is released so that users can send voice messages to the intended person, which will automatically disappear after listening to or hearing once feature.
Whether you are sharing your credit card details with a friend, or planning a surprise, you can now share sensitive information via voice message without worry.
"To be consistent with One View photos and videos, one-hearing Voice Messages will be marked with a 'one-hearing' icon, and can only be played once," said WhatsApp, in its official statement, on Saturday.
As with all private messages, WhatsApp has protected Voice Messages with end-to-end encryption. The Voice Messages feature will be rolled out globally in the coming days.
Earlier, WhatsApp officially introduced an additional function in the form of a secret code for the Chat Lock feature, which allows users to lock chats with a secret code to better protect user privacy.
This secret code can be an additional protection measure to make it more difficult for related chats to be found by others who have access to the phone, or when users share the phone with others.
With the secret code, users can set a unique password different from the one they use to unlock their phone to provide an additional layer of privacy to the locked chat.
