Prince Talal was not only a member of the Saudi royal family, but also a lieutenant colonel in the Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force.

His death on a training mission adds to the somber record of his family's history in the kingdom. Prince Talal's father, Abdulaziz bin Bandar Al Saud, is a prominent figure in the kingdom.

As a member of the royal family and businessman, Abdulaziz served as assistant head of intelligence from 2004 to 2012.

His career in intelligence was marked by various important roles, including being appointed assistant intelligence chief in 2004 and then deputy intelligence chief at the Saudi intelligence agency, in 2010.

Abdulaziz was also known to be close to Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, who was then the head of the intelligence agency.

His tenure at the intelligence agency ended in October 2012 when Youssef bin Ali Al Idrissi succeeded him. The family's contribution to the country goes beyond public service.

Abdulaziz bin Bandar has been involved in various business activities, demonstrating the family's talent for governance and commerce.

In his personal life, Abdulaziz bin Bandar is married to Najla bint Saad bin Mohammed Al Saud. Their son, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, married Sarah bint Fahd on May 26, 2011.

Sarah is the daughter of Fahd bin Salman, the eldest son of King Salman. The couple's wedding ceremony was celebrated in Marbella on July 2, 2011.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz's sudden death is a sad reminder of the risks associated with military service.

His passing is not only a significant loss for the family, but also for the country, which mourns the passing of a young prince who devoted his life to his country in the air force.

The legacy of the Al Saud family, which is deeply intertwined with the history and governance of Saudi Arabia, continues to shape the narrative of the kingdom, even in times of grief.
