37 Jordanian Evacuees from Gaza Arrive in Aqaba Through Rafah Border

Jordan – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced the arrival of 37 Jordanian citizens, who were evacuated from the Gaza Strip to the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Rafah Border Crossing, to the port of Aqaba aboard a ship that departed from Nuweiba on Thursday.
The ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, stated that through the Jordanian Embassy in Egypt, transportation was arranged on Thursday for 37 Jordanian citizens out of a total of 62 who were evacuated from Gaza to the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Rafah Border Crossing.
They were transported to the Kingdom aboard a ship operated by the Arab Bridge Maritime Company, in coordination with the Ministry of Transportation.
The ship, coming from Nuweiba, arrived a short while ago at the port of Aqaba
Al-Qudah stated that the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority received them, provided assistance, medical care, and transported those who wished to go to the capital, Amman.
He added that another 25 evacuees arrived in Cairo, as reported from Roya News site.
Ambassador Al-Qudah mentioned that the total number of Jordanian citizens evacuated from Gaza to the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Rafah crossing is now 525 people out of the 924 registered on the ministry's lists.
Ambassador Al-Qudah emphasized that a team from the Jordanian Embassy in Egypt is still present to supervise the evacuation operations for Jordanian citizens residing and located in Gaza on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing.
The team continues to provide all forms of assistance to ensure their security and safety.
He also affirmed the continuation of evacuation operations as long as needed, using various methods and means.
