Virus RSV Masih Mengintai

Jakarta Health Agency said there has been a spike in positive Covid-19 cases in Jakarta since last month. The spike in positive cases has been recorded since November 13, 2023.

As of December 3, 2023, the number of positive Covid-19 cases increased by 30 to 40 percent from the previous week. However, Salama did not mention the detailed figures for the increase in positive Covid-19 cases.

"In one month (November) it increased by 22 percent when compared to the previous month (October)," Salama said.

"Indonesia has actually entered the Covid-19 endemic phase since June 2023. The last spike in positive COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta happened in May-June 2023," she continued.

The increase in Covid-19 cases in DKI Jakarta is still classified as safe and very controllable. This can be seen from the absence of an increase in hospitalized patients.

"People are advised not to panic, and continue to improve Clean and Healthy Living Behavior," Salama concluded.
