Justin Hubner followed his other colleagues, Ivan Jenner and Rafael Strujik. Initially, he would not be naturalized because he was called up by the Dutch national team age group.

Not long ago, PSSI announced that they would continue Justin Hubner's naturalization process as announced in early November.

At that time, PSSI said that Justin Hubner was only waiting for approval from Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) before taking his oath. Thus, Hubner immediately defended the Indonesian national team.

It is known, there will be two matches that he can participate in, namely the 2024 Asian Cup and the U-23 Asian Cup.
