Police Send 5,734 Personnel to Secure 212 Reunion at Monas

Jakarta – A total of 5,734 joint personnel were deployed to secure the event 212 Reunion at Monas, Central Jakarta on Saturday.
"There are 5,734 personnel for the December 2 2023 activities at Monas," said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Region Police Commissioner Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko on Friday.
Andiko said that his party would also prepare traffic engineering around Monas to anticipate traffic jams due to this activity.
Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic for Central Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Gomos Simamora stated that the diversion of traffic flow was situational.
Because the police have not yet received details about how many participants will attend Monas tomorrow.
"Traffic flow is still situational," Simamora said.
Earlier, the Ministry of State Secretariat issued a permit for the Munajat Kubro activity 'For the Safety of the Republic of Indonesia and the Victory of Palestine' in the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta on Friday-Saturday, December 1-2, 2023.
The letter was issued regarding permission to use the Monas area.
"Yes, the permit was issued by the DKI Provincial Government as the manager of Monas, including coordination of its implementation," said Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Setya Utama when confirmed on Tuesday evening.
