The Stones Hotel Legian Celebrates Anniversary with Arts and Culture

Legian, November 30, 2023 - The Stones Hotel-Legian, Bali, successfully celebrated its 11th anniversary on November 29, 2023.
Themed "A Journey Through The Sights and Sounds of The Stones," the celebration was enlivened by a variety of events, including the "Indonesia Unveiled" photography exhibition by Daniel Kordan, performances of Balinese and Indonesian arts and culture, and a festival of Indonesian cuisine.
The highlight of the event was the "Indonesia Unveiled" photography exhibition by Daniel Kordan, a renowned photographer who has made Bali his second home.
The exhibition featured 20 photos of the best destinations in Bali and Indonesia, creating a visual journey through the beauty of the tropical rainforests, beaches, wildlife, and exotic cultures.
The 11th anniversary celebration also combined Balinese and Indonesian arts and culture, including an exclusive dance from the Dayak tribe performed by Poyang and her friends from Banjarmasin, Kalimantan.
Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) presented a performance of Sundanese arts and culture and traditions through interactive music, while the legendary Balinese Kecak dance and a traditional Sasando music performance from Rote Ndao, NTT, added a unique touch to the event.
A festival of Indonesian cuisine with various dishes and delicacies from different regions, such as Soto Buntut (Jakarta), Nasi Padang, and Sate Kambing (Madura), also complemented the celebration event.
According to Harry Tandjung, Director of Sales and Marketing, The Stones Hotel-Legian, Bali, the celebration showed the hotel's commitment to supporting Balinese tourism, creating jobs, and being a platform for young creatives.
Daniel Kordan's photo exhibition also attracted attention with a limited-edition collection that could be purchased by visitors. Photo prices start from IDR 15 million to IDR 30 million, allowing anyone to own a piece of Indonesia's beauty from Daniel Kordan's lens.
On this occasion, Andika Pratama, Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications The Stones Hotel-Legian Bali, reaffirmed that the selection of Daniel Kordan as the main photographer was based on his contribution to promoting tourist destinations in Indonesia.
Tjokorda Bagus Pemayun, Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, expressed appreciation for the Daniel Kordan photo exhibition, which is expected to attract more foreign tourists to Bali.
Also present at the event was Niluh Djelantik, a Balinese designer and activist who offered her support for arts and culture events that promote Bali and Indonesia to the international world.
