Whales Sound Could Lead to Alien Encounters

Jakarta – Whales have unusual sounds that are interesting to study and are even claimed to be the beginning of learning alien languages.
Researchers believe that whale sounds are a gateway to communicating with aliens in outer space.
Furthermore, researchers from the Cetacean Translation Initiative (CETI) in the Dominican Republic, even made whales the main object of research.
They see whales as having a culture and intelligence similar to humans compared to other animals.
"Whales are very interesting to find out the meaning of communication that humans don't produce," CETI Founder David Gruber explained.
Laurence Doyle of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) says that whales are a complex and intelligent group of animals.
They communicate not through facial expressions and gestures, but by sending signals through the ocean.
This is analogous to the possibility of humans sending messages across space. From there, Laurence Doyle realized that studying whale communication could teach humans a lot about how to communicate or send messages to aliens.
According to Discover Magazine, Laurence Doyle and his colleagues are currently conducting research into whale sounds.
This process will then be combined with information theory to get a better picture of the complexity of whale sounds, rules and patterns.
"This effort is certainly not about translating what the whales are saying. But it could help us understand other types of intelligence and different ways of communicating," Laurence Doyle remarked.
At least according to Discover Magazine, Laurence Doyle's efforts could be invaluable preparation for communicating peacefully with intelligent beings elsewhere in the galaxy.
