U-17 World Cup Ticket Sales Exceed FIFA's Target

Jakarta – PSSI Chairman and Chairman of the U-17 World Cup Committee, Erick Thohir expressed his gratitude because the ticket sales for the 2023 U-17 World Cup have exceeded the target set by FIFA.
"We are grateful that the U-17 World Cup audience interest has exceeded the target set by FIFA," Thohir said in a statement.
"This proves that the U-17 World Cup is an entertaining and exciting spectacle for the audience," he added.

The local organizing committee (LOC) reported that until the last 16 phase of the 2023 U-17 World Cup, the total tickets sold at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Manahan Stadium, Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, and Jakarta International Stadium reached 514,000.
With this number, the average stadium occupancy rate in each match, which is a total of 44 matches so far, is around 11,681 spectators.
The target given by FIFA itself is 10,000 spectators per match.
The average figure may continue to grow, as the competition will enter its final phase. The 2023 U-17 World Cup has now entered the quarter-final phase, with the remaining eight teams being Spain, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, France, Uzbekistan, Mali and Morocco.
The competition for the semi-finals will begin with Spain's match against Germany at the Jakarta International Stadium on Friday.

This will be followed by Argentina's match against Brazil at the same venue at 7 p.m.
"The last eight matches will be an exciting spectacle, especially the world classics at JIS between Brazil vs Argentina and Spain vs Germany. These are matches not to be missed," Thohir said.
Furthermore, the match between France and Uzbekistan at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the match between African representatives Mali and Morocco at the same location at 3:30 p.m.
