Purwakarta, 22 November 2023 – Radjak Hospital Purwakarta is ready to handle accident cases during the 2023 Christmas and New Year holidays. This was conveyed by dr. Muhammad Rainda Farhan, a neurosurgeon at Radjak Hospital Purwakarta.
“Radjak Hospital Purwakarta has routinely prepared a 24-hour emergency room to address the possibility of the need for actions related to trauma,” said dr. Farhan.
He acknowledged that the risk of accidents usually increases when there is mass mobilization, such as during Nataru, Lebaran homecoming, or holiday season.
“And the case is indeed from an accident on the toll road. Yesterday, the Cipali accident case received surgery here,” he said.
dr. Farhan mentioned that trauma cases can be divided into two causes, low velocity (low speed) and high velocity (high speed).
“So it's not just vehicle accidents. But it can also be from fighting, falling, being hit by a heavy object, or work accidents,” he said.
Radjak Hospital Purwakarta has the readiness to handle accident cases that occur during Christmas and New Year holiday this year. This includes the availability of a 24-hour emergency room equipped with adequate equipment and facilities to handle trauma cases.
They also have a competent and experienced medical team in handling trauma cases. The medical team consists of a general surgeon, a neurosurgeon, an anesthesiologist, and trained nurses.
Radjak Hospital Purwakarta has a collaboration with the operators of the Cipularang and Cipali toll roads in monitoring the risk of accidents on the road. This collaboration allows Radjak Hospital Purwakarta to receive direct information about accidents on the toll road.
“During the last Lebaran, we usually provide almost 20 health service posts scattered from Cipularang and the trans-Java toll road. So, if there is an accident, we will be informed directly,” said Marketing of Radjak Hospital Purwakarta, dr. Susi.
