Indonesia Retains as the Most Generous Country in the World

Jakarta – The World Giving Index (WGI), through the Charity Aid Foundation or CAF re-publishes their annual report, namely list the most generous countries in the world.Â
The World Giving Index offers unique insights into how people engage in social activities for the benefit of the community and to champion the growth of giving globally.
 "The existence of generosity and civil society is a constant in all societies," it wrote. Â
First published in the wake of the global financial crisis in 2010, this long-term research has given the public an opportunity to see the scope and nature of philanthropy in all over the world.Â
In the year 2023, the country Indonesia is in first place with the highest score, namely an index of 68. "Indonesia is the most generous country in the world for six years in a row,"; wrote World Giving Index 2023.Â
The survey was collected by one of the world's leading consultancies called Gallup Inc since 2009.Â
Data analysis for the 2023 WGI report was carried out based on a global poll involving 147,186 respondents to describe the condition of philanthropy in various parts of the world during 2022.Â
In WGI, there are three assessment categories, namely the categories of donating money, participating in volunteering, and helping strangers.Â
After Indonesia, Ukraine is in second place. There are also countries from South Africa, Europe and Asia. Â
