President Jokowi Conveys OIC Summit Results about Gaza to Joe Biden

United States – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) met the President of United Statest Joe Biden on Monday, local time.
During the meeting, President Jokowi conveyed the results of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Extraordinary Summit on the current conditions in Palestine.
"Alhamdulillah, the OIC Summit has produced a resolution that contains a very powerful message for the world. And, this message is what I will convey to President Biden tomorrow, where this is the voice of 57 countries or about a third of the votes of countries in the world," the President said in a statement, in Washington DC.

In addition, the Indonesian Head of State will also deliver a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
"I will also convey a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas who specifically asked me to convey it to President Joe Biden,"
In the OICSummit meeting that took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, President Widodo invited OIC member countries to fight for justice for the Palestinian people.
"An immediate ceasefire must be done, humanitarian aid must be accelerated and increased, peace talks must begin immediately, public facilities and humanitarian activities must not be the target of attacks, and Israel must be held accountable for the atrocities it has committed,"
Regarding the current condition of the Indonesian Hospital in Palestine, President Jokowi emphasized the importance of respecting international humanitarian law.

"I want to reiterate that since the beginning of the attack, the government has and will continue to protect Indonesian citizens and public facilities, including the Indonesian Hospital,"
President Jokowi expressed his support for the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs to play an active role in seeking peace in Palestine.
"I also want to give full support to the Indonesian Foreign Minister who was elected as one of the Foreign Ministers who was given the trust by OIC leaders to seek peace in Palestine," President Widodo concluded.
