President Jokowi Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

Saudi Arabia – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) presents the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit (OIC Summit), to specifically discuss the situation in Gaza, Palestine.
"I and my limited delegation will attend an extraordinary OIC Summit, to discuss the situation in Gaza," the President said while heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday night.
The OIC Summit is very significant as an additional effort to stop Israeli attacks on Palestine. Therefore, the Head of State to urge for a ceasefire.
"I call for the immediate ceasefire, and humanitarian assistance can be increased," President Widodo stated.
After the OIC Summit, the President will continue his trip to Washington, DC on November 12. President Jokowi considers this visit as a good opportunity to show that Indonesia always supports Palestine.
"This visit is a good opportunity to directly convey the results of the OIC Summit in Riyadh which reflects the solidarity of OIC countries to defend justice and humanity,"
From Washington, DC, the Head of State will travel to San Francisco to attend the APEC Summit. He will discuss the issue of sustainable development and inclusive development.
"On the sidelines of the APEC Summit, we will hold several bilateral meetings and meetings with business people in San Francisco. Insya Allah, I will leave San Francisco on November 17 after the summit is over, and return to Indonesia soon," President Jokowi concluded.
