U-17 World Cup Indonesia Officially Opens in Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium

Surabaya – The Indonesia U-17 World Cup 2023 officially opened on November 10. This prestigious match will run until December 2, 2023.Â
The opening of the U-17 World Cup took place at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, and 30 minutes before the kick off of the Indonesia U-17 national team vs Ecuador match in the Group A preliminary round.Â
The Indonesian U-17 national team's first match at the 2023 U-17 World Cup coincided with a special moment. November 10 is celebrated as Heroes' Day, referring to the historic moment of the Battle of Surabaya, to defend Indonesia's independence.
Apart from Indonesia and Ecuador, there are two teams in this group. The two teams are Panama and Morocco.
Panama vs Morocco was presented first in the afternoon. Morocco won the match with a score of 2-0.
Morocco is leading the Group A standings so far. They recorded three points because of the victory in the inaugural match.Â
The result of Indonesia vs Ecuador
The match that took place at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya ended in a draw score between Indonesia vs Ecuador in the first match of the U-17 World Cup Group A preliminary round.Â
The Indonesian U-17 national team managed to get the score first because of Arkhan Kaka's goal. But a few minutes later Ecuador was able to equalize because of Allen Obando's goal.
In short, the match between Indonesia and Ecuador ended fiercely. Ecuador was eager to break down the Indonesian defense, but Indonesia managed to brush off the resistance.
In the end, the score was a 1-1 draw for Indonesia vs Ecuador.Â
