Ministry Uses Eco-Friendly Building Materials in IKN Nusantara

Kalimantan – Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that his ministry prioritizes the use of eco-friendly materials and designs in the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) or IKN Nusantara projects.
"In IKN, we use eco-friendly blocks that can absorb water in the Minister's residential area," Minister Hadimuljono said on Saturday.
The PUPR Ministry also uses environmentally friendly and smart designs for the construction of houses in the IKN Nusantara, Minister Hadimuljono remarked.
"Environmentally friendly and smart house designs are currently also being used at IKN Nusantara. There are many more that we use,"
As information, according to Presidential Regulation Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the National Capital Master Plan, the Vision of the National Capital is "World City for All".
The construction and development of the Nusantara Capital City implements global standard governance, becomes the driving force of Kalimantan, and triggers the strengthening of domestic value chains throughout Eastern Indonesia.
IKN Nusantara must become a model of green and sustainable urban development driven by the application of the latest technology.
With reference to the vision and main objectives, the long-term development of the Nusantara Capital City is based on several key principles such as realizing circular and resilient urban infrastructure.
The development of the Nusantara Capital City is to achieve the realization of sustainable development goals based on three different scales, namely People to fulfill basic human needs, Place, a resilient human environment, and Planet, which contributes to a sustainable global future.
