President Jokowi Officially Delivers Humanitarian Aid for Palestine

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Saturday officially delivered the humanitarian aid for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
"Alhamdulillah, the aid from Indonesia for Palestine will be delivered to El Arish Airport in Egypt before being delivered to Gaza," the Head of State said during the releasing ceremony of the aid at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in East Jakarta, on Saturday.
President Jokowi stated the Indonesian aid for Gaza, weighing 51.5 tons are comprising medical equipment, blankets, tents, and other logistics, would be followed by another batch of assistance.
"This assistance is not only from the government but also from the community, from the business world, which is channeled through various humanitarian agencies," the President informed.
"There are from the National Alms Agency (Baznas), Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Indonesian National Armed Forces, the State Police of the Indonesian Republic, and a fundraising platform," President Jokowi continued.
President Widodo remarked that the next batch of aid for Palestine is also being prepared. The delivery of assistance is a form of Indonesia's solidarity with the Palestinian people and Indonesia's concern for humanity.
"This is a form of Indonesian solidarity, a form of Indonesian concern for humanity because the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza is unacceptable and must be stopped immediately," the President explained.
According to the President, Indonesia will continue to be with the struggle of Palestinian people.
Ambassador of Palestine to Indonesia Zuhair Al Shun, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Commander of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) Admiral Yudo Margono, and Army Chief of Staff General Agus Subiyanto accompanied President Jokowi during the activity.
