Jakarta – Astra gave appreciation to the inspiring young generation through the 14th Astra Integrated Spirit for One Indonesia Awards on Wednesday.

The award given to five young Indonesians who make positive contributions through five fields namely health, education, entrepreneurship, environment and technology, as well as one group category that represents the five fields. 

Astra President Director Djony Bunarto Tjondro said that many young Indonesians with all their limitations have extraordinary enthusiasm and innovation to make positive changes for the surrounding community.

"So many young Indonesians spread from the western tip of Sumatra to the eastern of Papua with all their limitations have extraordinary enthusiasm and innovation to make positive changes to the surrounding community," Tjondro explained.

"Their innovation and enthusiasm to serve the community is a sincerity for the nation and an inspiration that should be emulated and appreciated by all of us," he continued.

With the theme "For Today and the Future of Indonesia", Astra wants to find more children of the nation who contribute to supporting the achievement of Indonesia's sustainable development – the Indonesian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

This year, the Satu Indonesia Awards assessment criteria were expanded by assessing the alignment of participants' programs with the principles of sustainability, namely environment, sustainability, and governance (ESG).

Five people received awards, namely in the Health Sector; Theresia Dwiaudina Sari Putri as Health Warrior from Eastern Indonesia from East Nusa Tenggara Province. Then, in the Education sector; Diana Cristiana Dacosta Ati as Education Servant in South Papua from Papua Province. 

After that, in the entrepreneurship sector; Alan Efendhi as Developer of Healthy Drinks from Aloe Vera from the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. In the Technology sector; Reza Permadi as a Pioneer of Tourism Village Digitalization from Jakarta Province. 

Then, the Group Category; Rengkuh Banyu Mahandaru as Environmental Warriors Utilizing Frond Waste from Jakarta Province. 

The recipients of the 14th SATU Indonesia Awards will receive an activity grant of IDR 65 million and also guidance on activities that can be collaborated with Astra's sustainable social contributions, such as Kampung Berseri Astra and Desa Sejahtera Astra.
