Tanoesoedibjo explained that the creation of these records and achievements cannot be separated from the efforts and hard work that have been carried out together by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC), and all parties involved including coaches, managers, and officials.

"The highest appreciation goes to the athletes who have fought from classification, qualification, and finals. No less important is the contribution of coaches and support staff. This achievement is proof that effort never betrays results," Tanoesoedibjo remarked.

Meanwhile, NPC Indonesia Deputy Secretary General Rima Ferdianto said there will be an evaluation after the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

The evaluation includes organizing and assessing athlete performance in each sport.

"Of the 12 sports that were followed, there were 9 sports that met the target and 3 sports that have not shown achievements and this will be evaluated. Like sports that apply for medals but still don't show good performance or those that show excellent performance," Ferdianto explained.

Hence, NPC Indonesia will prepare a preparation program for the Paris 2024 Paralympics with the target of entering the top 40. This target is based on the achievements of the Indonesian contingent at multi-event events, such as the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

"At the Paris Paralympics which will be held in August 2024, we plan to qualify 30 athletes from nine sports including archery and boccia. We also have a target to improve our ranking from 42 to the top 40 in the world," Ferdianto added.

Based on the effectiveness of sending athletes to the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games, Indonesia is third after the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Uzbekistan with an athlete to medal ratio of 73 percent.

With this achievement, Indonesia further emphasized itself as the best contingent from the Southeast Asian region.

Indonesia team became the Southeast Asian country with the best ranking at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games, followed by Thailand in 7th place with 27 gold, 26 silver, and 55 bronze, the Philippines 9th, Malaysia 12th, and Singapore 17th.
