Minister Reveals Indonesia's Strategy in Facing Digital Economy

Jakarta – The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto revealed Indonesia's strategy in dealing with the digital economy. This is done with the Digital Economy Framework Agreement which aims to develop the potential of the digital economy in Indonesia.
Minister Hartarto said that the Government also plans to develop the digital economy by improving the quality of human resources.
"Progressive activities are important to improve the accessibility of technology and the expansion of supporting infrastructure and the most important thing is to improve the quality of human resources by providing knowledge about blockchain, AI transformation, and cloud computing which will be a prerequisite for education from elementary school to college," the Minister said at the BNI Investor Daily Summit 2023, on Wednesday.
Minister Hartarto explained: "Millennials as a generation that will be highly productive in the next 10 years have an important role, especially in digital media. This becomes influential for a company in utilizing media in the current era,"
On the same occasion, Amir Suherlan as Managing Director of Wavemaker Indonesia said, "Our clients now 85 percent to 90 percent have switched to digital, so about 15 percent is left for other media. This clearly illustrates that the performance of digital media is getting stronger in the current era,"
As information, on the second day, BNI Investor Daily Summit 2023 discussed economic growth through green investment which will be discussed by the Minister of Investment / Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia.
In addition, on the second day, there will also be a presentation on the vision and mission of Indonesia's economy in the future conducted by three candidates for President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024.
