Jakarta – VKTR President Commissioner, Anindya Novyan Bakrie met with the British Ambassador to Indonesia, Dominic Jermey CVO on Wednesday.

During this meeting, they discussed various matters, including the Bakrie Group's efforts through VKTR to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and the electrification ecosystem in Indonesia. 

"In a meeting with the British Ambassador to Indonesia, Dominic Jermey CVO, we discussed VKTR to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and the electrification ecosystem in Indonesia," wrote Anindya Bakrie through his official Instagram account, on Wednesday.

As known, VKTR is a supplier of electric buses that are used for public transportation, in Transjakarta. And, some time ago, VKTR aimed to supply up to 10 thousand electric buses in Jakarta and around it.

According to Bakrie, to enhance cooperation and alliances to mitigate climate change in Indonesia and the United Kingdom, they are also reviewing the partnership in the Indo-Pacific Net Zero Battery Minerals Consortium. 

"Where we partner with companies in the UK to directly supply essential minerals to the UK," Bakrie remarked.

In addition, Bakrie continued, "We talked about the importance of building talent in advancing the electric vehicle ecosystem and shared ideas on cooperation opportunities and exchange programs," 

"We appreciate the valuable insights we gained during this discussion. Hopefully, this cooperation will bring great benefits to both countries," Anindya Bakrie concluded.
