EDRR Disaster Rescue Exhibition Officially Opens in Indonesia

Jakarta – The Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue (EDRR) Indonesia 2023 exhibition has officially opened at the Jakarta International Expo on Thursday. The exhibition will take place on October 19-21, 2023 at Hall B JIEXpo Kemayoran.
Chairman of the Shanghai International Trade Promotion Council, Minhao Zhou revealed that EDRR Indonesia 2023 has a mission to improve disaster management capabilities, as well as promote security technology in order to anticipate and deal with post-disaster.
"We are here to promote cooperation in improving the ability to protect each other's countries through disaster prevention and knowledge exchange," Zhou remarked during the opening ceremony of EDRR Indonesia 2023 at JIEXpo Kemayoran, on Thursday.
"This platform is a form of international cooperation to strengthen cooperation between the two countries,"
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of knowledge and technologies for emergency disaster prevention and mitigation, rescue equipment, rescue equipment, security industry services, safety science, fire emergency rescue equipment, comprehensive renewable rescue solutions, public security, and police equipment.
Not only that, the exhibition will also include discussions on flood control solutions, industrial safety protection, epidemic prevention materials, emergency services for industry, and emergency safety experience sharing.
EDRR Indonesia will also feature a series of free-to-attend sessions, various technology seminars, and extensive opportunities to build business networks and business opportunities in related sectors.
Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Kusworo expressed his appreciation for the EDRR Indonesia 2023 event that pushes the role of technology further in disaster management.
"EDRR can be a holistic platform to build public perception and awareness in improving national resilience to disaster management through cooperation between the government, international institutions, and the community," Kusworo said on the same occasion.
Towards the Golden Indonesia of 2045, Indonesia can advance based on technology and collaboration with various other countries as seen today, Kusworo added.
As information, the EDRR 2023 Exhibition will involve more than 10,000 local and international professionals and 150 VIP delegates representing Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region.
The exhibition is also enlivened by the participation of 180 leading companies, including some familiar names
SAIC MAXUS, MPMC POWERTECH CORP, Hefei Institute for Public Safety Research TSINGHUA University, GS Technology, and MADE-IN-CHINA.
