List of Indonesian Representatives Who Will Play at Denmark Open 2023

Denmark – Two Indonesian representatives are confirmed to be absent at the BWF World Tour Super 750 Denmark Open 2023, on October 17-22. 

They are women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and men's singles Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.

Apri / Fadia are absent because Apri is still undergoing a recovery process after the right calf injury she suffered at the Asian Games. 



According to Eng Hian, the coach, Apri's injury recovery progress has reached 90 percent.

"Apri's injury recovery progress has been very good. The pain almost 90-95 percent gone," Eng Hian or called Didi said through PBSI's official statement on Monday. 

"Just to make sure it has recovered properly, I decided to withdraw Apri / Fadia from the 2023 Denmark Open,” Didi added.

Didi cannot confirm whether the 2023 Hong Kong Open champion will compete in the French Open next week or not, "For the French Open, it's still 50:50. Later, we will see his condition throughout this week,"

Meanwhile, Fadia's presence in Odense is to fulfill BWF's obligations as Top Committed Players.

On the other hand, Indonesia also lost Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. Chico withdrew after experiencing diarrhea while competing in the Arctic Open 2023 last week.



"Chico had diarrhea while competing in Finland (Arctic Open 2023) last week. In the first and second rounds he did not compete optimally because his body was weak," said Irwansyah, men's singles coach.

"So, we decided to withdraw from the Denmark Open and return to Jakarta. Let him get fit first and then prepare again for the next tournament," he added. 

As information, the Indonesian badminton team has just completed a morning training session at the Jyske Arena training field, in Odense, Denmark.
