Nusa Dua – Telkomsel as a leading digital connectivity enabler in Indonesia is ready to provide a reliable internet connectivity network to support the success of Island Countries and Archipelagic States or AIS Forum Sumit in Bali on October 10-11, 2023.
Through reliable 4G and 5G broadband networks, Telkomsel ensures infrastructure readiness that supports the convenience of communication access for all delegates of the AIS Forum 2023 Summit.Â
Telkomsel Network Director Nugroho said that his party has optimized network capacity and quality in all locations of the AIS Forum Summit activities.
The optimization includes Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) and Bali International Convention Center (BICC), as well as nine other vital points that become supporting venues.
In addition, network optimization in Nusa Dua and surrounding areas is carried out, among others, by increasing network coverage and capacity as well as connectivity quality in 55 existing 4G/LTE BTS and 11 5G BTS, adding 16 4G/LTE BTS and 3 5G BTS, as well as two units of Compact Mobile BTS (COMBAT) and four units of Easy Macro BTS.
Nugroho also claimed to provide various superior digital products and services such as the Tourist Prepaid Card with a data quota of up to 25GB.
"We ensure the readiness of international roaming services in Indonesia for AIS Forum Summit delegates to continue using services from their home countries," Nugroho said in a virtual press conference on Monday.Â
Currently, Telkomsel has established cooperation with 382 mobile telecommunications companies from 180 countries around the world, of which 51 telecommunications companies come from all AIS Forum Summit delegation countries that will be present in Indonesia.
"The cooperation includes 4G/LTE Roaming Partnership with at least one mobile telecommunication company from each country, as well as 5G Roaming Partnership with several countries," Nugroho informed.Â
Until now, Telkomsel has deployed hundreds of BTS in the main super priority destination areas, which include Lake Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, and Likupang, with the support of the leading 4G and 5G networks, which further accelerate the digital transformation of MSME players (micro, small and medium enterprises) in the tourism sector.
"We hope that the AIS Forum Summit can open strategic opportunities, especially in encouraging three important aspects which include the development of the blue economy, the challenges of climate change, and strengthening solidarity between island countries and island states, especially through collaboration in the tourism sector," Nugroho explained.Â
