Ministry Guarantees Reliable Internet for Whoosh Fast Train

Jakarta – The Indonesian Communication and Information Ministry guarantees the reliable internet to support the operation of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train (KCJB), also known as "Whoosh". This was stated by Minister Budi Arie Setiadi.

"We conducted a trial with the telecommunications ecosystem (providers). Communication Ministry is tasked with supporting (internet) services, and we have observed that signals are available along the railway. We can use devices and frequencies to communicate," the Minister informed at KCJB Halim Station in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The Minister said that the presence of Whoosh in Indonesia shows the nation's technological leap and should be appreciated.

Therefore, as long as Whoosh is in operation, the ministry will ensure that reliable telecommunication technology is available to support the fast train's operations.

"This is a technological leap in Indonesia's development. With this train being stable, the rail track smooth and the signal strong, our duty is to provide support,"

On Tuesday, Minister Setiadi along with Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria and other high-ranking Ministry of Communication officials, took a round-trip on the Whoosh.

During the ride, the Minister mentioned that telecommunications services along the Whoosh line encountered no issues and operated optimally.

"Everything went smoothly,"

Meanwhile, Ismail as Communication Ministry's Director General of Resources Management and Equipment of Posts and Informatics, stated that the digital connectivity test along the Whoosh line included representatives from telecommunication service providers.

He also mentioned: "The connectivity inspection demonstrated the ministry's commitment to preparing optimal internet services,"

"We have prepared for this for two to three years, and thank God, we observed that no signal was interrupted," the Minister remarked.
