Colombia – The President of a Colombian football club – Tigres FC – Edgar Paez was shot dead on Saturday after the team lost 3-2 to Atletico de Cali. The incident reportedly happened near the club's stadium, the Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota, at 6.15 pm local time.
Edgar Paez, 63, was fatally shot while returning home by car. As a report, his daughter was present at the time of the shooting but escaped unharmed.
On the night of September 23, hours after the aforementioned match took place at the Techo Stadium in Bogota, the rumor of the death of the president of a Colombian football club began to circulate in the media.
But no one dared to give full information or confirm what had happened in this latest incident of violence around Colombian football.

However, the journalist Oscar Ostos released the serious news and was the one who gave the first details of the crime. This was the first thing that was known, by versions that came out from the same football club,
"Two players of Tigres of the second division tell me that Edgas Paez, President and owner of the team from Bogota, died this Saturday. This happened after the match," Ostos said.
"Edgar was with one of his daughters at the time of the attack, they took him to the Mederi Clinic, and there they could not do anything," he added.
Moreover, according to the police reports, when he was traveling with his daughter, he was stopped by hired killers on a motorcycle who shot him several times.
In which they detailed that there were three fatal shots that ended the life of this man. Thorax, neck and skull, the points in which the bullets hit and took his life, although he was immediately transported to the Mederi Clinic, where he was treated and died.
