Muhammad Sejahtera Dwi Putra Gives First Gold Medal for Indonesia

China – The Indonesian shooter Muhammad Sejahtera Dwi Putra contributed the first gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games after he recorded the highest score in the men's 10-meter running target on Monday.
Fighting at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Center, China. Muhammad Sejahtera Dwi Putra recorded an average of 9.633 points. In six shooting attempts, he got 99, 97, 95, 95, 94, and 98 points.
With a total of 578 points, Dwi Putra beat Vietnam's Huu Vuong Ngo, who was seven points behind. The bronze medal was won by South Korean shooter Jeong Yujin.
Dwi Putra also contributed a bronze medal when he took part in the men's 10-meter team run with Julio Irfandi and Muhammad Badri.
This is the first 2023 Asian Games gold medal for the Indonesian contingent. Previously one silver and three bronze medals were obtained.
Sejahtera Dwi Putra made a new history for the Indonesian shooting sports branch. This is the first gold medal for the Red and White contingent since shooting competed at the Asian Games was rolled out in 1954.
Then, the silver medal was donated by Edgar Marvelo Xavier from the Wushu sport. Three bronze medals came from rowing.
