The rescue operation took place approximately 400 kilometers away in the Klang Valley, where the victims had reportedly been abducted while in Penang.

The incident occurred eight days ago, but within the following 48 hours, law enforcement rescued the victims upon receiving a report from one of the victims’ Indonesian husbands.

The husband provided crucial information, revealing that the kidnappers, all of Malaysian nationality, had demanded a ransom of RM540,000 (IDR 1,7 billion) for the safe release of the two foreign nationals.

Moreover, the police asked a woman with the initials F to show them who the people suspected of being involved in the kidnapping were. Of the 13 people shown by the police, the woman was able to recognize 10 people who were allegedly involved.

On September 22, after the investigation was completed, the woman was handed over by PDRM to the Indonesian Consulate General in Penang to be accommodated at the Consulate General's shelter.

A woman with the initials F is currently in good condition and is recovering from bruises. The Indonesian Consulate General in Penang is said to continue assisting the woman and monitoring the legal process in Malaysia.
