Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with First Lady Iriana Jokowi wore Betawi Traditional clothes while welcoming ASEAN leaders, partner countries, and heads of International organizations during the 43rd ASEAN Summit Gala Dinner on Wednesday.

The President and First Lady welcomed the honorary guests at the dinner banquet that had begun to arrive at 7:10 PM local time in Hutan Kota by Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta. 

Based on the live broadcast from the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, President Jokowi wore a black pointy dress equipped with orange cap accessories and a similar colored scarf pinned to the waist.

Meanwhile, the First Lady wore a orange encim kebaya, with a flower motif in a shade of pink, and Betawi cloth in a similar color. A plain orange scarf covering Iriana's head.

As information, this Gala Dinner is a series of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta. The 22 leaders who attended consisted of 11 ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Timor Leste.

In addition, there are nine invited partner countries, namely the Republic of Korea, India, Japan, China, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Russia, and the United States (US). 

Two other countries are Bangladesh as Chair of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and the Cook Islands as Chair of the Pacific Island Forum (PIF). 

Indonesia also invited the international organizations United Nations (UN), World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Economic Forum, IORA, and PIF.
