ASEAN Has 93 Investment Projects Worth IDR580 Trillion, Jokowi Says

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta has resulted in concrete commitments among ASEAN member states and partners. The investment commitment includes 93 projects.
"I appreciate the support of ASEAN countries and ASEAN partners that resulted in 93 cooperation projects worth US$38.2 billion or IDR 580 Trillion and 73 potential projects worth US$17.8 billion," President Jokowi said at the opening of the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, on Tuesday.Â
President Jokowi assessed that this cooperation reflects a commitment to build a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific. So, it can provide great benefits to the people in the region and the world.Â
There are three main agendas held in this summit. Regarding infrastructure, economic and industrial development, he said.Â
"The ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum has three main agendas, namely green infrastructure and resilient supply chains, the ASEAN economy will grow strongly from downstream industries and the development of the EV (Electric Vehicle) ecosystem is a concrete example of building regional supply chains," the Head of State explained.Â
