ASEAN Climate Forum: Bakrie Says VKTR Managed to Reduce Air Pollution

Jakarta – At the ASEAN Climate Forum 2023 event, Anindya Bakrie as President Commissioner of VKTR Mobility Technology revealed that VKTR has managed to reduce air pollution by building an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. As known, VKTR is a pioneer of electric buses in Indonesia.
"Yesterday, I spoke at the ASEAN Climate Forum 2023 about "establishing the ASEAN role in global EV supply chain," wrote Anindya Bakrie on his official Instagram account on Tuesday.
He also mentioned: "Besides sharing my experience with @vktr_Indonesia in pioneering EV and its contribution in reducing pollution, I also present about Indonesian potential in the EV sector and decabornization,"
"Even with all its potential it can become the global center of Electric Vehicle Suppy Chain,"
Bakrie reveals that especially if ASEAN countries collaborate. Therefore peaceful ASEAN, large market and economic growth, will be able to become the EV hub of the world.
"And, it become a balancer of East and West fortresses. Plus, the potential of renewable energy, biodiversity, etc. Then, ASEAN will be the solution,"
In addition, Bakrie also explained about ASEAN with a large economy and population and its opportunities in the era of climate change and energy transition.
"Also, how to realize the US$20 trillion ASEAN centrality opportunity and what it means for CEOs. After the discussion, I also received a Sustainability Certificate for 1,000 lbs CO2e of Terrapass Verified Emissions Reduction," he explained.
During the ASEAN Summit, VKTR electric buses used by TransJakarta also traveled through the event. In addition to helping with the transportation of participants and committees, the electric bus also provided a driving experience with electric-based mass transportation during the event.
