Indonesia Arena Plays Crucial Role to National Economic Growth

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Indonesia Arena on Monday to hold national and international events. This stadium has a good quality, and has positive impact to national economic growth. Indonesia Arena located at the Gelora Bung Karno area, Senayan, Jakarta.
"We hope after this, the national and international events can be held in Indonesia Arena," the Head of State said after inaugurating the Indonesia Arena on Monday.
President also said that he was proud of the Indonesia Arena presence, which has a capacity of 16,000. Moreover, this arena was also built in such a short time, only in 18 months.
"A stadium with a capacity of 16,000 spectators or more, was built at a cost of IDR 640 billion, the construction was carried out in 18 months, very quickly," the President added.

President Jokowi believes that the existence of this stadium will have a positive impact on national economic growth.
"Every time there is an event such as a concert, there is a circulation of money, there is an economic turnover both above, in the middle, and below," the President said.
"Especially concerts have a huge economic effect."
The President also emphasized that the government through the Supreme Audit Agency and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) will conduct an audit of the stadium with a capacity of 16,000 spectators.
As information, this August, the Indonesia Arena will become one of the venues for the 2023 Basketball World Cup. Later, Group G and Group H matches, also the second round of Group L matches, as well as matches ranked 17 to 32 in Group P, will be held here.
