Jokowi Guarantees Palace Construction in IKN Runs as Planned

Jakarta – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) guarantees the construction of the Presidential Palace in the new capital or IKN Nusantara is running as time planned.
This was stated by the head of state after directly inspecting the manufacture of the wing blades of Garuda-a mythical bird that is Indonesian identity for the new state palace at the workshop belonging to Indonesian renowned sculptor Nyoman Nuarta located at NuArt Sculpture Park, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province, on Wednesday.
"I visited the workshop of Mr. Nyoman Nuarta to ensure that the construction of IKN Nusantara, especially the Presidential Palace is running according to the plan," President Widodo said published by the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday.
"So, I checked everything here, God willing, it runs well according to the time we have set,"
The President said that the inspection was carried out to see firsthand several processes for making brass-based knives, ranging from welding, and laser, to coloring.
In this regard, the President stated that he has no plans to visit IKN shortly. However, the President ensured that his staff will continue to review and report on the development of IKN.
"Yes, maybe before October, but the ministers go there every day, the Head of IKN also goes there and always reports to me," the President said.
Also accompanying the President during the inspection were Cabinet Secretary; Pramono Anung, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing; Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State-owned Enterprises; Erick Thohir, and West Java Governor; Ridwan Kamil.
