"Small businesses around the world that run their entire operations on WhatsApp will be able to create, buy and serve Facebook or Instagram ads directly within the WhatsApp Business app," said Meta Indonesia Country Director Pieter Lydian in Jakarta, on Tuesday.

This feature has the ability for the Business owner to reach out to their customers more efficiently because they should not have a facebook account, they only require an email address and a form of payment.

Advertising is one of the most effective ways to encourage potential customers to send messages and this will open up new opportunities for small businesses that only use WhatsApp and need a simpler way to start advertising.

As small businesses find new customers, they need to have tools that can help them connect with customers quickly and easily at scale.

"From now on, we will start testing a new feature in the WhatsApp Business app, where small businesses will have the option to send personalized messages to their customers in a faster and more efficient way," he continued.

Instead of having to manually send the same message to multiple customers, the new feature will give businesses the ability to send personalized messages with the customer's name and a customizable call-to-action button to a specific list of customers.

Meta's subsidiary will offer advanced optional message types for an additional fee on the WhatsApp Business app. More information will be shared shortly.

"These new features will give them access to tools that are usually only available to large businesses and help them do what matters most, connect with customers and grow,"

According to him, small businesses are the heartbeat of local communities and WhatsApp is excited to hear how these new features can help strengthen relationships with customers and grow small business operations.
