Indonesian Cycling Team Contributes Two Golds at Asian Championships

VIVA – The Indonesian cycling athletes have made achievements at the Asian Road Championship and Asian Track Championship. They are junior athletes from the ASC Monsters team, Ahmad Sahroni's bicycle club.
Ahmad Sahroni, who is also the coach of ASC Monsters, said he was very happy to hear the news from this Asian championship.
Sahroni wants this achievement to also be a source of pride for all Indonesian people, "I'm certainly very proud and happy for the achievements of our athletes in the international racing scene,"

"This is not only an achievement for ASC Monsters, but also a victory that we dedicate to Indonesia. How proud to see the Indonesian flag flying high in the sports arena," he added on Monday.
Sahroni also mentioned that he will continue to give his best contribution in advancing the world of sports in Indonesia.
Sahroni's main focus is to ensure that great talents in Indonesia have the space to develop and compete.
"With strength and hope, I will continue to be committed to advancing the world of Indonesian sports," he said.
"Because I believe, with the right support, our athletes will continue to make achievements in the international arena. And again, this is not just for individual and team satisfaction, but for Indonesia."
Participants in this event came from Asian Games participating countries, such as: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Japan.
ASC Monsters team manager Handika also detailed the recent achievements of the athletes under his watch.
"Muhammad Syelhan Nurrahmat won silver in the Men Junior ITT, Asian Road Championship Thailand on June 9," Handika said.
"Then in the Men Junior Point Race and Men Junior Omnium in Malaysia, Syelhan won 1 gold and 1 silver. In the Men Junior Madison, Syelhan and Julian Abi Manyu also won gold. So, we have two golds and two silvers," Handika said.
In July, the ASC Monsters are also rumored to be taking part in the Tour the France Junior in France. This event will be the next proving ground for the ASC Monsters team.
