ASEAN Para Games Medal Standings: Indonesia Persists in Top Position

VIVA – The temporary medal standings of the 2023 ASEAN Para Games are still controlled by Indonesia, which is in the top position, ahead of Vietnam in the second position, and Thailand in the third position.

The Indonesian contingent until Monday, June 5, 2023, was recorded in the first position with a total of 81 medals, consisting of 32 gold, 28 silver, and 21 bronze.

Para-athletics also presented eight golds for Indonesia. Similarly, the women's para-athletics contributed three gold medals, and the para-chess won four golds.

The competition was tight between the two countries, with Vietnam collecting 21 gold medals and Thailand 17.

Malaysia managed to beat the Philippines by collecting 13 golds and came in fourth place. Meanwhile, the Philippines earned 11 golds in fifth place. 

Meanwhile, host Cambodia is in eighth place with two golds, while Timor Leste surprisingly won one gold and is in ninth place.
